Who it fits

Key specs for this cover

Material: 420D Oxford fabric

This fabric density offers a balance of durability and weight. The 420D rating indicates a medium-weight textile that resists tears from branches or rough handling. It is lighter than heavy canvas but more robust than thin vinyl. You get reliable protection without adding excessive bulk to your storage or transport setup.

Water Resistance: Waterproof PU coating

The polyurethane coating creates a barrier against rain, snow, and moisture. This prevents water from soaking through to your boat’s surface. It protects against rust on hardware and mold on upholstery. You do not need to apply additional sealants. The coating ensures the fabric sheds liquid effectively during outdoor storage.

Closure: Adjustable buckle straps

These straps secure the cover tightly around the hull. Adjustable buckles allow you to customize the tension for a snug fit. This prevents the cover from flapping in wind or shifting during transport. You avoid the need for separate tie-down ropes. The system keeps the cover stable in various weather conditions.

Cover Width: 286*200CM

This dimension ensures full coverage for the Hobie Mirage Compass Duo. The size accommodates the pedal drive and seating area. You avoid gaps that let in debris or water. It fits the specific model years from 2018 onward. This precise sizing eliminates the need for trimming or modifying the cover for proper installation.

Design and Build Overview

The cover uses 420D Oxford fabric with a waterproof PU coating. According to the listing, this material shields your boat from rain, snow, dirt, bird droppings, tree sap, and dust. The 420D rating suggests a medium-weight textile that balances durability with ease of handling. It is lighter than heavy canvas but more robust than thin materials. This construction allows the cover to fold into a compact bundle for minimal storage space.

Dimensions are listed as 286 by 200 centimeters. This size is designed to fit the Hobie Mirage Compass Duo models from 2018 to the present. The cover is available in blue or black. It weighs 2.2 pounds. The lightweight design allows one person to install or remove the cover within minutes. You simply unfold it, position it over the boat, and tighten the straps.

Security relies on a windproof adjustable buckle strap system. Multiple straps and reinforced attachment points help the cover stay in place during windy weather. The closure mechanism is straightforward, requiring no complex tools. This layout makes seasonal relocation or quick lake trips easier. The flexible oxford material conforms to the boat’s shape while providing reliable outdoor storage protection.

Setup and Everyday Use Guide

This cover fits the Hobie Mirage Compass Duo models from 2018 to the present. You need to ensure your pedal boat matches this specific range for a proper fit. The listing provides dimensions of 286 by 200 centimeters. This size accommodates the length and width of the compatible vessel. You should check that the cover lays flat over the hull without excessive slack.

Installation is designed for one person. The cover weighs 2.2 pounds, making it easy to handle. You unfold the fabric and position it over the boat. The material is soft and flexible, which helps it conform to the shape of the pedal drive and seats. You then secure the cover using the adjustable buckle straps. These straps attach to reinforced points on the cover. Tightening them ensures the cover stays in place during windy weather. The windproof design prevents the fabric from flapping or shifting.

For everyday use, the cover protects your boat from rain, snow, dirt, and bird droppings. The waterproof PU coating sheds moisture effectively. When you are not using the cover, you can fold it into a compact bundle. The lightweight Oxford fabric takes up minimal storage space. This makes it convenient to carry during lake trips or seasonal relocation. The blue color option is available alongside black. You simply remove the straps and fold the material when you are ready to launch your pedal boat.

Before You Buy This Cover

You should verify that your Hobie Mirage Compass Duo was manufactured in 2018 or later. The listing specifies compatibility only for models from that year forward. Older or newer variants may not align with the 286 by 200 centimeter dimensions provided. Ensure your pedal boat sits on a stable surface before securing the adjustable buckle straps. Windproof performance depends on proper tension. You must tighten the reinforced attachment points evenly to prevent flapping. Regularly inspect the waterproof PU coating for abrasion, especially where the fabric contacts the hull. Clean the 420D Oxford fabric with mild soap to remove tree sap or bird droppings. This prevents material degradation over time. Store the lightweight foldable cover in a dry place when not in use. It takes up minimal space, making seasonal relocation easy. Consider this cover alongside other protective options for your pedal boat. It offers reliable outdoor storage protection without adding significant weight to your gear. Check the blue or black color options if available. These choices allow you to match your aesthetic preferences while maintaining functional durability for long-term use.
