How these alternatives compare
YimSting 1200D 17-20ft Pontoon Boat Cover
The YimSting cover targets a different need entirely. It is a full-length cover for 17 to 20-foot pontoons, not a shade structure. You get 1200D fabric for weather protection instead of open-air shade. This option keeps water off the fabric with a support system. It is ideal if you want to protect the entire boat from rain or sun damage. You give up the ability to sit under the cover while boating. This is for storage or mooring rather than active use. It fits larger boats than the 10-foot Big Daddy.
TaylorMade 74-Inch Pontoon Boat Bow Enclosure
The TaylorMade enclosure focuses on the bow area. It provides full privacy and shade with a 74-inch height. You get a zippered entry for access. Pick this if you need maximum shade width and do not mind the extra weight.
Cypress Rowe Outfitters 8.5 ft Replacement Bimini Canvas
This item is a replacement canvas, not a full kit. It is a 16 oz acrylic canvas for Qwest pontoon frames. You get a durable fabric that matches the Big Daddy's material quality. It is 108 inches long and 103 inches wide. This is for owners who need to replace a worn top. You do not get the frame or hardware. It includes a storage boot. This is a practical choice if your frame is still good. The Big Daddy is a complete new installation. Choose this only if you are repairing an existing Qwest setup.
KNOX 8-Foot 4-Bow Bimini Mesh Enclosure
The KNOX enclosure is a 4-bow mesh design. It provides full cockpit weather protection. You get 600D Oxford fabric for durability and airflow. This is a comprehensive shield rather than just overhead shade. It is 8 feet long and 54 inches high. You give up the open feel of the Big Daddy.
